The Intermec 7421 printer is the latest addition to the desktop printer family. The 7421 is designed for printing labels, tags, or continuous receipts. The biggest advance with the 7421 is IPL compatibility. This means that any application developed using IPL2 or 86XX protocol is compatible with the 7421.
Intermec has enhanced the memory management system. Base DRAM is 512K with storage memory options consisting of 1Mb or 4Mb cartridges that simply just plug in the printer. The 7421 is also option rich which makes the printer even more application flexible. Options include the expandable storage memory for fonts, graphics, and formats as well as label self-strip, cutter, and an external battery.
