The Intermec 2100 Universal Access Point is the first wireless LAN access point that allows users to roam freely across the enterprise and across network routers.
It's wireless roaming provides for access across routers and switches. In addition, advanced IP tunneling and data link tunneling are also available. Designed for installation in harsh environments, the Intermec 2100 is the first access point built with an IP53/NEMA 3 enclosure with variable temperature options.
This open-systems access point implements key features of Intermec's Integrated Network Communications Architecture (INCA™), including radio and network independence, gives users flexibility, protects investments, allows for future growth, and supports migration to future wireless LAN standards. Typical markets include distribution and warehousing centers, manufacturing, health care, retail, government, and education. Customers of the Intermec 2100 will benefit from the reduced costs, improved productivity, and increased accuracy delivered by real-time access to data collection and retrieval applications over a wireless LAN.
